The Doberman (Slynks)

"Nice"

date: August 1, 2008

All the characters showed have a certain appeal to them. The people that stuck out to me the most were:
The 3 guys that were doing the singing/playing
The huge guy and his little sister
The guy with the candle on his hat
The two kids running away from the third guy with his weapon
The two people who were fighting (both swords were awesome, by the way)

I wish you the best when you do make your movie!

FF6 Opera-Pella Fun

"A Capella"

date: July 25, 2008

I'm sure someone's pointed this out to you, but it's not "Opera-Pella" It's "a capella." That's italian for "wihtout music" or something like that. Anyway, incorrect interpretations of difficult words aside, this flash was pretty funny. I can just imagine.... "WHO THE %$#@ BUILT A OPERA HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD?!?!" Animations add lip synching were off at times, but otherwise, pretty solid.

Author's Response:

Actually it's "A Cappella", and "without". Sorry you couldn't get that right, I know it's a tough one. Don't worry, keep on trying!

LRU 1: Lost Sweeper

"Decent"

date: July 14, 2008

This game was just decent for me

Pros:
- Battle system is good.
- Weapon upgrades are easy and look pretty bad%#& (although I can't keep it out of my head how inefficient the spear looks from rank 6 to 9)

Cons:
- The battles get repetitive after awhile.
- A bit too easy (I haven't died once yet, and although I haven't quite beaten the game yet, I can tell I'm pretty close)
- Sometimes the game freezes in the middle of battles. I would choose to attack, do the action commands, and then nothing else would happen. The characters would just stand there and shift poses from time to time.
- I found several grammar/spelling errors in the game.

The cons outnumber the pros, but it was still an OK game. This game isn't broken by any means, but it wasn't the best of the best. I'm still interested in seeing how the other games in the series turned out.

Ongaku

"Pretty Good"

submission: Ongaku
date: July 8, 2008

I enjoyed this little rhythm game. I have a couple of complaints, but nothing too bad.

Pros:
- The quirky main character was a good touch to the unique style of this game.
- I enjoyed the artwork of this game, and the music was good.
- The percentage point system worked pretty well with the game.
- The Scoop system is a definite plus, and helps when the songs get to the fast parts (Scooping was the only way I was able to survive the last song, in fact! When you see the guy who made that bugger, punch him in the chest, then give him a handshake for me.)

Cons:
- Like Mr. Dark said below me, the collision system was less than exceptional.
- The wording of the opening story was off a bit.
- In several songs, the notes didn't QUITE match up with the beat of the song.

Suggestions:
- The timing of the notes and their correlation with the beat is key with rhythm games, as you probably well know. This game didn't QUITE get this right. Mess around with the notes until you can get them to that match with the beat, and you'll have a perfect score within reach.
- Add more songs, definitely.
- Add more content in general (including more junk to buy, more rewards, exc.)

Again, a very good little game, which is like any good rhythm game: easy to learn, but complex to master. Now, if only Ongaku 2 would spring up....

This flash really spoke to me. The music was incredible, the story was very touching, and the meaning behind it all was greatly received and appreciated. I could go on for hours talking about music and its impact on my life, but I don't want to bore you. So, I'll just say this: a stellar job.

Oh, man, that's funny! It was the random mention of the omelette that got me. I still love this theme song, and this take on it was unique and funny. Kudos to you!

The People's Mario

"LOL"

submission: The People's Mario
date: June 21, 2008

Wow, that was certainly an interesting spin on the Mario world.... It was interesting good, though. I don't get how that rumor got started in the first place.... Anyway, good work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!

(Geez, I swear, Communist Mario.... What's next, Mario has Buddhist propaganda?....)

Mario RPG: Rawest Forest

"Nice Work, Both of You"

date: June 21, 2008

Very well done. The animations could use a tad bit of work, and the voices are too soft, but you've addressed both of these points in the comments. Could you please maybe put the lyrics either in the video or supply them in the comments, so we can better understand what's being said? Otherwise, I like it. The beat was nice, and the animation, while rough at times, was very suiting to the song (I especially like the peach part.) I look forward to seeing more of your future work!

Ze Pokedex #2

"...."

submission: Ze Pokedex #2
date: June 21, 2008

Congratulations, Darkside7000 and ZePokedex. You two have made something so inanely stupid, so lazily ridiculous, you have warranted small African Fire Ants armed with flamethrowers to come into your houses in the dead of the night and singe the ends of your pinky toes, then proceed to slowly chew all of your fingers off so that you may never animate again, to save all of us the trouble. (By the way, I didn't like this flash.)
